The Broker — What It Is
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that range is solid.
What You Trade On
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That will round things out when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
This is the thing Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.
Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, TabTrade add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
